An original 1933 Automobile Association map, "London Northwards," on canvas. This is a dissected map — originally cut into folding panels for travel — which has been reconstructed, trimmed and mounted flat onto a solid backboard to reform the full map as one panel. Framed in handmade obeche (African maple), finished using the Japanese Yakisugi technique (charred and blackened with heat) to bring out the natural wood grain, then waxed, behind UV-resistant acrylic.
